Netsmart myUnity Optimization and Reporting Consultant

HealthTECH is seeking a Netsmart myUnity Optimization and Reporting Consultant to optimize a nonprofit hospice and palliative care organization’s Netsmart platform from the ground up as it launches a new primary care program.

What You’ll Do

• Evaluate how myUnity is currently configured and used across hospice, palliative, and the new primary care program.
• Identify gaps, implementation misconfigurations, and team skills gaps, then remediate at a granular level with best-practice rationale.
• Configure primary care workflows within myUnity: patient panel management, admission-triggered follow-up tasks with due dates and staff assignments, activity schedules, and visit frequencies.
• Assess and configure myUnity for primary care billing, including expanded CPT/E&M coding the new program requires, and advise candidly on platform fit and workarounds.
• Rebuild reporting lost in the myUnity migration, working alongside the CIO’s Power BI environment with deep knowledge of myUnity’s back-end data structures and extracts.
• For each wish-list item, determine whether it is a platform limitation or a configuration issue, and communicate that clearly.
• Inform the eventual build-vs-buy decision on Netsmart’s Care Manager add-on.
• Map how myUnity exchanges data with the surrounding stack (NetSuite, Paylocity, SmartMD) and scope whether a separate integration resource is warranted.
• Upskill the internal team so gains persist after the engagement.

What You Bring

• Deep hands-on Netsmart myUnity expertise: workflows, back-end configuration, and billing at true SME level
• Post-implementation optimization experience (not just implementation)
• Revenue cycle configuration spanning hospice/palliative billing and ambulatory/primary care billing (CPT/E&M)
• Strong command of myUnity data structures and reporting/extracts, with the ability to support a Power BI-based reporting strategy
• Ability to embed with a lean team, assess current-state knowledge without condescension, and teach while doing
• Willingness to tell a client plainly what the platform cannot do

Preferred

• Former Netsmart employment or direct experience with Netsmart implementation/support teams
• Familiarity with the myUnity NX migration path (the organization expects to move to NX within approximately 6 months)
• Clinical background (e.g., RN)
• Population health or care management platform familiarity (e.g., Netsmart Care Manager)
• Exposure to NetSuite, Paylocity, Power BI, or CRM/referral platforms in a healthcare data integration context

• Location: Remote (onsite/hybrid near Sacramento, CA possible at client preference)
• Type: Contract / staff augmentation (hourly)
• Hours: Full-time, approximately 40 hours per week
• Target start: Early August 2026
• A possible Phase 2 adds a data architect / integration specialist for cross-platform data aggregation
