Epic Ambulatory Analyst

HealthTECH Resources has a new full-time direct hire position for an Epic Ambulatory Analyst at a premier client in Tucson, AZ. Interested applicants should have 3+ years’ experience configuring, administering, supporting Epic Ambulatory applications and working with healthcare data.

Please note: This position is a full-time role (not consultancy) and requires that all candidates be willing to relocate to Tucson (surrounding region), Arizona.

Epic Ambulatory Analyst Primary Duties

  • The EHR Applications Analyst is responsible for supporting and configuring the Epic electronic health records system.
  • Performing coding, reviewing, preparing test data, testing, debugging, and implementation of system building in Epic.
  • Supporting end users with EMR assistance and assessing departmental needs and objectives.
  • Reviewing changes with upcoming developments in software applications and performing upgrades.
  • Communicating software problems and issues to vendor support teams.
  • Creating documentation for supported systems and enhancements.
  • Monitoring and supporting application interfaces.
  • Designing, testing and modifying complex systems, modules and/or approaches and required enhancements.
  • Performing analysis and troubleshooting for various clinical and business applications.

Epic Ambulatory Analyst Key Qualifications

  • 3+ years’ experience configuring, administering, supporting Epic Ambulatory applications working with healthcare data in a clinical environment.
  • 3+ years’ experience providing end-user support for enterprise applications.
  • 3+ years’ experience training end users on the use of an electronic health records system using best-practices.
  • Experience administering and maintaining a patient portal for access to their health records.
  • Knowledge of report writing tools and SQL experience.
  • Experience with interface development using HL7 standards.
  • Experience developing training materials to include written documentation, classroom-based presentations, and online videos and interactive training materials.
  • Knowledge of Document Management Systems (ChartMaxx, OnBase, etc).
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, Healthcare, or related field or a minimum of five (5) years’ experience working as an electronic health records system analyst with clinical experience.
