HealthTECH is seeking a Vendor Coordinator for a 100% remote 6 month contract position at a premier healthcare payor organization in Texas.
Vendor Coordinator Primary Responsibilities
- Reviews Client networks and vendors to determine ID Card configuration; applies logos and URLs in accordance with network/vendor guidelines.
- Communicates with networks and vendors to gain approval for logo and URL placement on ID Cards.
- Coordinates with Manager and/or Vendors to troubleshoot issues and submit I.T. tickets.
- Establishes “rules” on vendor platform for future ID Card orders and communicates those rules to the team.
- Maintains records of cards produced, groups coming up for renewal, and tracks other statistics; primarily using Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.
- Handles the installation of managed care vendors such as PBMs, PPO networks, and UM companies for new client.
- Handles plan changes for existing clients involving managed care vendors, such as PPO network changes, Rx changes, changes to pre-certification requirements, care management services.
- Coordinates the setup of outbound eligibility extracts to managed care vendors.
Vendor Coordinator Key Qualifications
- 5+ years’ experience in employee benefits and a strong background working with third-party administrators (TPA) and their associated partner networks, pharmacy benefit managers (PBM), and vendors (Anthem, CIGNA, BCBS, First Health, Delta Dental, Navitus, CVS/Caremark, etc.).
- The ideal candidate would also have some experience working with eligibility files and formats and will have robust Excel skills.
- Clear communicator who is well-organized and self-motivated.
