HealthTECH Resources is seeking an Epic Database Administrator specializing in Epic Cogito/Clarity for a position at a premier healthcare client in Tucson, AZ. The ideal candidate will have DBA experience in a clinical healthcare environment with experience and/or certification in Epic Cogito and Epic Clarity Administration.
This position is available for remote work, and is open to contractors as well as those interested in contract-to-hire or FTE.
Epic Cogito/Clarity Database Administrator Primary Duties
- Maintains integrity of the Epic Cogito/Clarity applications and associated system environment.
- Performs application upgrades including planning and scheduling, testing, and coordination.
- Coordinates disk space planning and management.
- Maintains growth statistics, space forecasts, tape libraries, and software and hardware inventory.
- Monitors and maintains continuity with system software licensing and maintenance agreements.
- Supports media management through internal methods and procedures or through offsite storage and retrieval services.
- Provides recommendations regarding hardware and system software planning and budgeting.
- Maintains production change control schedule and participates in change control.
- Implements application enhancements that will improve the reliability and performance of the system.
Epic Cogito/Clarity Database Administrator Key Qualifications
- 3-5 years experience working with healthcare data and EHRs/EMRs, ideally as a Database Administrator in a clinical healthcare setting using an Electronic Health Record, preferably Epic.
- Epic Cogito experience/certification, Epic Clarity Administration experience/certification, Epic Caboodle experience/certification.
- Strong knowledge of and ability to build interfaces using interface engines, preferably Mirth.
- Experience with patient care-oriented databases, hospital-based administrative database applications and data warehousing technology, system analysis, user relations, and vendor interactions.
- Familiarity with a variety of database types and interfaces (Microsoft Access, Oracle, various text formats, ODBC, OLE DB).
- Knowledge of provider credentialing process and systems.
- Windows server administration experience or training.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems or a related field.
