HealthTECH Resources is seeking an Epic Claims Reporting Analyst for a contract position in CA. Interested applicants should have a minimum 3 years of Epic Clarity analytics development, at least one of year of which should be focused on claim analysis and reporting.

This is not your typical old school report writing job — we are looking for high-level Epic Clarity talent to advise and proactively work with customers to attain actionable insights, and devise the best Epic-centric solution and hands-on delivery capability. If you don’t know the difference between an Epic cube, a Tableau visualization, and a Caboodle data model, this job is not for you.   • Contract duration: 6 months
  • Schedule: Full-Time – On-site

Principal Duties of the Epic Claims Reporting Analyst

  • End-to-end delivery of reporting and analytics solutions in the Epic Cogito Clarity Ambulatory/Clinical applications space (Ambulatory, Practice Management, Tapestry Referrals, Grand Central, and Ancillary Services), plus the maintenance and refactoring of existing report inventory.

Epic Claims Reporting Analyst Skills and Experience


  • Minimum 3 years of Epic Clarity analytics development, at least one of year of which should be focused on claim analysis and reporting.
  • Advanced understanding and usage of Clarity data model.
  • Basic understanding of financial reporting and concepts in Epic (HB / PB) desirable.
  • Epic-Crystal integration (ECI).


  • Working knowledge of medical claims reporting and analytics, as well as claims data aggregation.
  • Experience with payor processes and operations in Medicaid/Medi-Cal, Medicare, and commercial lines of business.
  • Knowledge of CMS1500 and UB04 claim forms and data elements.
  • Exposure to utilization management concepts and pay-for-performance reporting as well as HEDIS / NCQA measure reporting a plus.


  • Strong SQL development using best practice industry standards.
  • Tableau development experience.
